Film Studies & Cinematography - Project 3 - Animation Since I didn't do FSC during the semester I did Animation Fundamentals, I had to redo the animation. Mr. Martin urged me to try out Rotoscoping as it reflected my strengths better since I did video and photos. I'm glad I listened to his advise and took his approach because I learnt a lot and really enjoyed working on this. I did frame by frame animation so it took a while but I'm really happy with the out come. Figure 1 - Adobe Animate Process Figure 1 - ESCAPE - Animation Short

Advanced Animation - Project 3 - Post Production

Project 3 - Post Production After I got feedback on project 2, I went ahead and made changes to the scenes accordingly. I changed up the lights and added flicker to some of them. I also added a hat to the skeleton and cleaned up most of the animations. I added a green screen tot he monitor screen and added a static screen to it in after effects for the final touch. I got the static video from YouTube. Figure 1 - how the green screen was added Figure 1 - Project 3

Advanced Animation - Project 2 - Production

Project 2 - Production After Animatics and acting was done, we moved onto setting up the set in MAYA. I used a rig for my character called Jasmine Rose by Ahmed Shalaby. I first imported my Acting into Adobe animate and listed out how many frames each scenes used and blocked it out in MAYA. I made set before I did this. Figure 1 - Animation Blocking After I blocked out the scenes I started animating scene by scene. After animating the scenes I added rough lighting to see what it would look like in the final render. I rendered the scenes in this lighting for feedback. Figure 2 - Project 2

Advanced Animation - Project 1 - Pre Production

Project 1 - Pre Production For project 1 we had to choose a voice clip of our choice and create a scene using that clip. The scene should be about 15-30 seconds long. We had to storyboard, Act and animatics as a pre production process. Figure 1 - Audio clip chosen. Figure 2 - Storyboard Figure 3 - Storyboard Figure 4 - Acting Figure 5 - Animatics/2d Blockout

Film Studies & Cinematography - Project 1

Project 1 Project 1 was a collection of all the work done from week 1-4. Although I changed my idea later I was told to submit my first idea as project 1 as it works better for the project. Figure 1 - PDF compilation of project 1

Project 3 For project 3 we had the option to choose from either a video game clip or a silent movie clip and Foley the sounds for it. I chose video games because I play a variety of games so IM familiar with the sounds in game. The game I chose from the given options is a game called Chasm. I first went through the video and listed out the sounds needed for it. Once I listed the sounds I used a variety of items to record the audio on my phone. Walking - Grass, Stone - Cigarette box against table for stone and metal, Paper crushed for grass. Attack - attacking, hit, enemy attack (mushroom) - Bottle hit on table then EQ for attaxh and damage taken. Salt shaker for mushroom spore and then a long flexible stick for the attacking whip sound. Jump landing - Hand light hit on table with a mat. Break glass - Coin toss sound using 50c coin Chest open - Front door lock open Item picked up - hp up, xp gained - I hit a plate with a butter knife to get the ding sound Swamp bubblin...

Project 2 For project 2 we had to make narrate a story of our choice and create a video of the narration. The story I chose is Finding Nemo. I looked for a kids story version of it online and selected the part I wanted to narrate. I wrote a script and recorded the narration and necessary voice lines. I synced the dialogue to clips from the movie and added music and sound effects to it. Figure 1 - Script The voice lines for the characters are recording of my friends voice and for the sound effects I used free sounds from the internet. Figure 2 - Final Video
