Animation Fundamentals - Project 1

Image
Project 1 - Walk Cycle For project one we had to create a character and animate a walk cycle for the character. I created a robot character name AI80. Figure 1 - Character sketch Figure 2 - Character colored and digitized I decided to go with a side view for the walk cycle as it was simpler and less time consuming. Figure 3 - Side view all frames in Adobe Animate Figure 4 - Walk cycle progression After getting feedback I removed some frames as the cycle was too slow. I also adjusted the movement of the antenna Figure 5 - Walk cycle progression after feedback After further feedback the legs were adjusted to land on a ground plane. Figure 6 - Final video Reflection Hand drawing was never my strong point. So while making the character I kept this in mind and designed the character to be as simple as possible to draw in most angles. I felt this would help me do the project and other projects and focus on getting the animations good instead of trying to draw the right propor...

Project 1 TECHNICAL AND MOTION GRAPHICS SENSIBILITIES For project 1 we were briefed on the design principles. We were given a template to create a composition in AE for the design principles, Symmetry, Focus, Scale and Rhythm. The first part was to create the compositions and the second part was to remix all given and created compositions into 1 single composition. Figure 1 - P1 Figure 2 - P2

3D Modeling - Exercises

3D Modeling - Exercises Week 2 We were introduced to Maya and Blender in week 2 and we were taught the basics. We were given a class exercise to create a chair. After it was done we were assigned to model a train for weekly exercise. Figure 1 - Chair Most other exercises were related to the projects and were not independent exercises such as this.

Animation Fundamentals - Exercises Week 1 Exercise 1 For the first class we were introduced to the module and we had to create character designs for the given shapes. Figure 1.0 - Basic Shapes Figure 1.1 - Sketch Figure 1.2 - Final Figure 1.3 - Revised after feedback Week 2 For this week we were introduced to the animation principles, and went into detail for the first 4 principles. We were given  exercises to create a ball bounce animation. Exercise 2 Figure 2.0 - Exercise 2 final Figure 2.1 - Exercise 2 all frames and arc Figure 2.2 - Exercise 2 final Week 5 Exercise 3 After we were done with the character design and working on walk cycle we had to make a character turn around. First step of this exercise is to make the key frames for the character which is , front, back, side and 3Q views. Figure 3.0 - Character turn around sketches Figure 3.1 - Character turn around colored Figure 3.2 - Turn around animated

Motion Graphics & Compositing - Exercises

Motion Graphics & Compositing Week 1 Exercise 1 For exercise 1 we had to create 3 compositions for a collage using magazine cutouts. This exercise is similar to the one I did in semester 1 in Digital Photography & Imaging. Figure 1 - Composition 1 Figure 2 - Composition 2 Figure 3 - Composition 3 Week 2 Exercise 1 For exercise 2 we had to decide on a final composition and revise it according to the feedback given. I chose 1st composition and made a few subtle changes. Figure 4 - Final Composition Exercise 2 For exercise 2 we had to create 3 compositions for a digital collage. We cropped the given pictures using the lasso/pen tool in photoshop. Figure 5 - Comp 1 Figure 6 - Comp 2 Figure 7 - Comp 3
