3D Modeling - Project 2 & 3
Project 2 - Character Modeling
For project 2 we had to model a character. It could be an existing character or we could create our own. I decided to create Pikachu from Pokémon. I created the model in MAYA and textured it in SUBSTANCE

Project 2 - Character texturing & theme
Since project 1 and 2 were combined we didn't have to render out the first project. Instead we had to come up with a different theme for the character and render it out after we applied the new theme. I decided to go with a dark theme for Pikachu which is combined with elements from some other Pokémon.

Reflection
Project 2 & 3 were a bit more advanced that project one as the character shape is more organic that hard surface models. We used the techniques learnt in class to create any character for project 2 and then the texturing was project 3. Project 3 required us to create our own theme so it helped us integrate our own creativity into the project and just using the reference. These projects helped me learn a bit more advanced techniques in Maya and exporting the models to use in other apps such as substance for texturing and rendering.
